The Brooks NPPA Member's Blog is a collective blog for current NPPA members attending Brooks Institute. The blog combines several blogs into one, allowing one easy destination to see the latest and greatest work from many talented photographers.

It is that time again to vote for the next term of NPPA officers. The elections are now open through Monday 12/8/08 at 11:59pm, the results will be read at the Week 6 speaker night.

Please don't wait to vote for your new officers. You must be both a member of the NPPA and a currently enrolled student to have your vote count, please have your NPPA membership number ready!

Film maker's Biographies

The Brooks NPPA Student Chapter is looking for a featured student to showcase on our website. We are looking for a student whose work is exemplary of the Visual Journalism program at Brooks.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES: Please put 20-40 images on a CD for us to choose from. The deadline for consideration is Friday, December 12, 2008 @ 5pm. Students may deliver the media directly to the NPPA mailbox in the faculty mailbox room (our mailbox is against the back wall above Jesse Groves box). The CD's should be clearly labeled with you name, contact information and state "featured student" on it.

 

Week 3 - Wednesday, November 19 - Print Exchange/Officer Elections

Bring an 8x10 or larger print to exchange with other students. Any one who wants to run for an officer position in the Brooks NPPA, must attend this informational meeting.

Week 5 - Thursday, December 4 - "Sports" Shoot Out

This session's shoot out theme is sports. Starting break week (Oct. 25), students will have until our week 5 meeting to come up with a photo/photos of great sports moments, either action or feature. Bring your photographs to the week 5 meeting on a CD or flash drive.

Time: 6:30pm
Place:Ventura Campus Screening Room
